It depends on the package. Every system has the PerimeterEye Brain (a compact on-site AI appliance) and 4K AI cameras, plus the iOS app on your phone. Defense packages add tracking spotlights and 130 dB sirens; Essential, Advanced, and Estate add spotlights and sirens plus the PerimeterEye Access intercom with NFC access cards and an indoor wall panel. Everything is designed for easy self-installation with full in-depth instructions after purchase, and the system calibrates itself to your property. Prefer a pro? After purchase you'll get a list of installers in your area familiar with PerimeterEye, plus a pre-filled job spec to send them — you hire and pay them directly, and no money is exchanged between PerimeterEye and any installer.

Does it work with my existing cameras?

Accepted Answer

In many cases, yes — that is what PerimeterEye Upgrade is, as low as $84.02/mo for Intelligence (18 monthly payments at 10% APR, $0 down, through Affirm or Klarna, subject to approval). Check your cameras at /compatibility, or talk to a specialist, who will check your current cameras and network with you; compatible cameras are kept, and hardware is only added where coverage or response needs it.

What happens when something suspicious is detected?

The system escalates in steps, each following your property mode: PerimeterEye AI verifies the activity and assigns a threat level. A tracking spotlight aims at the target and follows it. The AI speaks directly to whoever is in frame through the camera speaker — or you talk live yourself. If the threat persists, the 130 dB siren activates and you get priority alerts with live video. You can watch, talk, or take manual control at any point.

Does it still work if my internet goes out?

Yes — that's the point of the on-site Brain. Detection, continuous recording, instant rewind, searchlight tracking, and the siren keep running on the Brain, and the wall panel, where you have one, keeps showing live video. Remote access from your phone resumes when connectivity returns, and so does the AI voice warning.

Will I get spammed with motion alerts?

Accepted Answer

No. Every detection is AI-verified and classified first — deliveries, residents, familiar vehicles, and routine activity are organized quietly into your timeline. Alerts are reserved for things that actually warrant your attention, and you control the sensitivity.

Can I talk through the cameras?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Two-way talk works from the iOS app and wall panel on any camera with a speaker. You can also type a message and have the system speak it, or let the AI address visitors and intruders directly on its own.

How far back can I review footage?

Accepted Answer

Instant rewind lets you scrub back the last several minutes on any camera immediately. Beyond that, continuous recordings are stored on the Brain for days to weeks, depending on the Brain and how many cameras it records (each Brain's Shop page shows the estimate), with a visual timeline, and important events are AI-tagged and searchable.

No. PerimeterEye provides advanced detection, deterrence, alerting, and evidence tools that improve visibility and response speed — but no security system can guarantee prevention of all incidents.

Is this only for homes?

Accepted Answer

No. PerimeterEye deployments cover: Luxury homes and private estates. Car collections and vehicle storage. Short-term rentals. Gated communities. Warehouses, yards, and construction sites. Farms, ranches, and remote properties. Each deployment is designed around the property.

I'm under contract with another security provider — what can I do?

Switch with the switch credit: we pay your old company's cancellation fee, up to $1,000. How it works: Choose "Switching from another company?" at checkout, or ask your PerimeterEye rep for a quote with it. End your old contract and keep the final bill that shows the fee you paid. Once your system is active, send us that bill within 60 days, and we refund the fee to your card. The cap follows your system's full price: up to $1,000 from $4,000, up to $500 from $2,000, and none under $2,000. It comes with a plan of Standard or higher for 36 months from activation.
